A few weekends ago we went to the city with John and Francis. They are some of the coolest people we get to spend time with. Take a guess at their ages. Anyway, we went for Dim Sum. It's basically Chinese tapas, except that you never really order. You have the unique experience of choosing from the items as the servers are coming to your table, for the whole time you are sitting, with new items to choose from. It was really delicious! and pretty fun! After lunch we walked through the shops on Valencia. It's a street in the Mission. We found some great stuff. There was a store that that had a garden of succulents. It was in the back of the store, outside. When you were out there, it was as if you were not in the city at all! Our other reason for the excursion was to see a one man play called The Real Americans. It was so great. It was Dan Hoyle's story of how he decided to discover who are 'the real americans". This was coming off the heels of Sarah Palin's constant rhetoric of this particular group of people. It was an amazing show. Dan Hoyle is incredible as a performer. He is captivating and stunningly accurate when mimicking the people he met on his voyage. I wish it was playing longer. we got lucky and caught the show on an extension. Hopefully it will do well on the road, as that begins later in November. Check him out...especially if he's coming to your city.

sounds fun - John and Francis look like a good time too. I am scared to guess their age, but I would like to say they look great, happy and healthy and that I am J that they got to spend the day with the two of you!
